BERGEN COUNTY SPECIAL SERVICES ANNOUNCEMENT: POSITION OPENING The Board of Education is seeking applications for the 2026-2027 school year for the following position: TEACHER OF THE HANDICAPPED/TEACHER OF STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES (10 Months � Certificated) Washington Elementary

• Paramus Qualifications: New Jersey DOE Certificate required -Teacher of the Handicapped or Teacher of Students with Disabilities. New Jersey DOE certificate
• P-3 (CE/CEAS or standard) required. Experience working with Autistic Individuals, ABA and discrete trial - preferred. Must be able to perform physical work, which requires frequent bending and lifting. Independently lift/carry up to 25 lbs., more than 25 lbs. with assistance. Ability to motivate students in a positive and creative learning environment. Willing and able to complete Crisis Management training. New Jersey residence within one (1) year from date to hire.

Compensation
