Caregiver Assistant

University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver Assistant to provide essential support to our clients in Woodhaven, MI. The ideal candidate will assist with daily living activities, ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of those under their care.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
• Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed
• Assist with light housekeeping and laundry
• Accompany clients to appointments and errands
• Monitor and report any changes in clients’ health or behavior to supervisors
• Follow care plans and maintain accurate records of services provided

Requirements

• Previous experience in caregiving or related field is an asset but not required
• Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members
• Reliable transportation and punctuality
• Ability to pass background checks and meet any state-specific requirements
