Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician (MT or MLT) | 3rd Shift | Full Time

Work Schedule and Shift Premiums Full Time | Four 10-hour days per week Mid-Shift | 1:30 pm to midnight 2nd shift premium is $2.00/hour; 3rd shift premium is $3.05/hour; weekend premium is an additional $1.00/hour Benefits Insurance: medical, prescription, dental, vision, life, disability Paid Time Off: vacation and holidays Retirement: 403(b) with match Education assistance and continuing education Requirements Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Masters's degree in medical laboratory technology, clinical laboratory science, chemistry, or biology BLS certification (available through Hillsdale Hospital) Responsibilities Perform qualitative and quantitative tests and examinations using various analyzer and/or manual methods on specimen sources such as blood, urine, and other body fluids Responsible for all regulatory compliance issues necessary for accreditation Establish written policies and procedures for a comprehensive quality assurance program, patient test management, quality control, test procedure and policy manuals Assess accuracy and validity of obtained test results by applying knowledge of relevant scientific principles, recognize changes that are critical to patient care, identify probable causes for irregular and atypical findings Troubleshoot instruments and resolves technical problems, documenting corrective action and initiating remedial action Why Hillsdale Hospital Hillsdale Hospital is dedicated to excellence in healthcare community service, continued improvement, and respect for human life.
