Sales Manager

About the Opportunity We are partnering with an established, highly respected company on Maryland's Eastern Shore to find an experienced Sales Manager to lead its Sales & Design team. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven sales leader who enjoys developing people, building high-performing teams, and driving revenue growth while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

The ideal candidate combines strong sales leadership, pipeline management, and coaching skills with a customer-first approach. Experience in construction, home improvement, custom pools, or other high-value consultative sales environments is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Team Development Lead, coach, and develop a team of Sales & Design Consultants, Customer Service Representatives, and sales support personnel. Establish clear performance expectations, sales goals, and accountability measures. Mentor sales professionals to manage their own pipelines, build customer relationships, and successfully close deals.

Support recruiting, onboarding, training, and retention of sales team members. Foster a collaborative, results-oriented sales culture. Sales Performance & Pipeline Management Oversee the sales pipeline from initial lead through signed contract. Drive revenue growth, profitability, conversion rates, and overall sales performance.

Conduct weekly sales meetings, pipeline reviews, and individual coaching sessions. Develop accurate sales forecasts and monitor performance against established targets. Identify opportunities to improve lead conversion, sales processes, and closing effectiveness. Customer Experience & Cross-Functional Collaboration Ensure an exceptional, white-glove customer experience throughout the sales process.

Maintain high standards for proposals, estimates, presentations, and customer communication. Collaborate with Marketing to optimize lead generation and conversion. Partner with Production and Operations to ensure accurate project expectations and seamless handoffs. Help resolve customer concerns while maintaining strong relationships and protecting the company's reputation.

Sales Systems, Reporting & Process Improvement Utilize CRM and sales management platforms to track opportunities, performance, and forecasting. Monitor key performance indicators, including conversion rates, average deal size, sales cycle length, and win/loss ratios. Support the implementation and adoption of sales technology, including Salesforce and Job.

Tread. Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve sales team efficiency. Provide regular sales performance updates to executive leadership.

Qualifications

Proven experience in sales management, team leadership, or a comparable sales leadership position. Demonstrated success coaching sales professionals and achieving revenue targets. Strong understanding of sales pipelines, forecasting, KPIs, and performa
