Job Title: Facilities Technician Location: Aiea, HI Job Type: Full-time Pay: $55,000 $70,000 Schedule: Flexible start and end times; occasional off-hours response for facility emergencies About the Role Menehune Water Company is looking for a reliable, hands-on Facilities Technician to join our Maintenance team. You’ll handle a variety of skilled and semi-skilled building maintenance and repair work to keep our buildings, grounds, and equipment clean, safe, secure, and in good working order.

This is a good fit if you’re self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently across multiple trades, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and painting. What You’ll Do Repair and maintain building structures, furniture, and equipment Install cabinets, partitions, carpets, ceiling panels, doors, and locks as needed Perform electrical repairs such as replacing switches, wiring, and light fixtures Paint building interiors and exteriors, furniture, concrete, and other surfaces Estimate materials, labor, and time for projects, and order parts and supplies Inspect facilities regularly for security, safety, and repair needs, and take corrective action Maintain the appearance, cleanliness, and sanitation of assigned facilities and grounds Operate hand and power tools and equipment safely Respond to facility emergencies during off-duty hours as needed What We’re Looking For High school diploma or GED Working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, mechanical repair, electrical wiring, painting, and carpet/flooring installation and repair Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and specifications (structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire systems), as well as maintenance and repair manuals Ability to operate hand and power tools and equipment Knowledge of safe working procedures and practices Ability to prioritize and organize work and carry it out with minimal supervision Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English Ability to physically perform assigned duties, including lifting, climbing, and working in varied conditions Nice to Have Specialized training in building maintenance Two years of experience in building maintenance or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Valid driver’s license Benefits 401(k) with company match Medical, vision, and prescription drug insurance, plus partial dental Paid vacation and sick leave Employee discounts on Menehune Water products Company-provided tools and equipment for major repairs Skills training and professional development opportunities Stable, year-round work Equal Opportunity Employer Menehune Water Company is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal and Hawaii state laws.
