Patient Care Coordinator / Dental Support Assistant

• Part-Time Hopkins Family Dentistry | Hopkins, MN $20-$26 per hour, based on experience Interested in a dental career? Hopkins Family Dentistry is looking for a friendly, flexible team member to help with patient care at the front desk and provide limited support to our dentist in the clinical area. This part-time role is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, learning new skills, and helping wherever needed. Dental experience is appreciated, but we’re willing to train the right person! Students pursuing a career in dentistry are encouraged to apply. Schedule Tuesdays: 7 a.m.-5 p.m. - a mix of front-desk responsibilities and limited clinical support. Fridays: 7 a.m.-1 p.m. - primarily front-desk and patient care coordination. Availability for both Tuesdays and Fridays is needed. What you’ll do Front-desk and patient care support: Welcome patients and help with check-in and check-out. Answer phones and schedule appointments. Collect payments and assist with treatment estimates. Help patients with questions about appointments, insurance, and payment options. Maintain accurate patient records and support the office manager. Clinical support: Help prepare and turn over treatment rooms. Assist with stocking and organizing supplies, and maintain a clean clinical environment. Provide limited chairside support appropriate to your training and qualifications. Work with the dentist and team to keep patient visits running smoothly. Clinical responsibilities will be tailored to your training, credentials, and applicable requirements. What we’re looking for A warm, professional personality and strong customer service skills. Flexibility and a willingness to learn both front-office and clinical tasks. Dependability, attention to detail, and strong communication skills. Comfort with computers and a willingness to learn new software. A team-oriented approach and interest in helping patients feel comfortable. Dental experience or medical billing/scheduling experience is helpful but not required. Open Dental experience is a plus.
