Shift Lead

Job Title: Shift Lead Department: Store Operations / Sales Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time Reports To: Store Manager Location: Overland Park, KS Summary The Shift Lead is responsible for supporting daily store operations while leading the team during assigned shifts. This role acts as a key holder, ensuring smooth execution of operations, maintaining brand standards, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

This is a hands-on leadership role that requires strong communication, accountability, and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily shift operations, ensuring efficiency, organization, and adherence to Sugar Llamas brand standards
• Act as a key holder, responsible for opening and closing the store, including cash handling and security procedures
• Support sales performance, labor efficiency, and overall shift execution
• Prepare and oversee the preparation of donuts, coffee, ice cream, and beverages to brand standards
• Train and support team members during shifts while maintaining a positive, high-energy environment
• Deliver exceptional guest service and resolve customer concerns professionally
• Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation standards at all times
• Assist with inventory, restocking, and operational readiness for each shift Qualifications
• Must be 18+ years of age or older
• Previous experience in food service, retail, or customer service preferred
• Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math and cash handling skills

• Average tips for the 66212 area are between $2-$7/ hour Estimated Total Pay: $15 – $20 per hour, depending on tips.
