Job Summary

Irvine Chinese Immersion Academy is the first Public Charter School approved by the Irvine Unified School District. We are the only tuition-free Mandarin dual-immersion program that adapts the progressive immersion model in Orange County, California. Our goal is to prepare students to become global citizens through the development of bilingualism, biliteracy, and cross-cultural competence.

We are seeking innovative and experienced educators to join our team! Job Title: Instructional Aide / Small Group Instructor *Accepting bilingual Mandarin/English speakers, but all welcomed to apply. Immediate Supervisor: School Administrator/ Principal/ Office Manager Primary Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities are working in classroom settings under the direction and supervision of a credentialed teacher to provide instructional assistance to students in a dual immersion classroom.

Other job-related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

/ Qualifications Required Qualifications : Proof of High School Diploma or GED equivalent and completion of two years of higher education studies (48-semester units) OR Possess an Associate of Arts degree, Associate of Science degree, or higher degree.

• Mandarin speaking preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of students, colleagues and families.

Preferred Qualifications

• Some experience working with bilingual students and/or families desired
• Possess humility, strong work ethics, and a solution-oriented mindset
