Express / Lube Technician

Lupient Buick/GMC of Golden Valley is looking for a growth oriented Lube Technician to join our experienced team!

About the Role

The Express / Lube Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective maintenance of vehicles by performing routine oil changes, lubrication, and other preventive maintenance services. This position is essential for maintaining vehicle performance, safety, and longevity, directly impacting customer satisfaction and retention.

The technician will work in a fast-paced environment, providing quick yet thorough service to meet customer expectations while adhering to safety and quality standards. They will also be responsible for identifying potential mechanical issues and communicating them to service advisors for further inspection or repair.

Ultimately, this role supports the overall service department by contributing to smooth operations and fostering a positive customer experience.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Basic knowledge of automotive maintenance and mechanical systems. Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various physical positions for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience as an Express / Lube Technician or in a similar automotive service role. Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification or equivalent. Familiarity with automotive diagnostic tools and equipment. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary.

Responsibilities

Perform oil changes, lubrication, and other routine maintenance services efficiently and accurately. Inspect vehicles for fluid levels, tire condition, and other basic mechanical issues, reporting any concerns to service advisors. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.

Follow all safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines to ensure quality service and prevent accidents. Communicate effectively with customers and team members to provide updates and ensure customer satisfaction. Skills: The required skills enable the technician to perform routine maintenance tasks accurately and efficiently, ensuring vehicles are serviced to manufacturer standards.

Attention to detail and mechanical aptitude are essential for identifying potential issues and maintaining safety. Communication skills are used daily to interact with customers and team members, providing clear updates and fostering trust.

Preferred skills

such as ASE certification and experience with diagnostic tools enhance the technician's ability to handle more complex tasks and improve service quality.
