Job Description – Power BI Developer / Consultant Job Title: Power BI Developer / Consultant Department: Data Analytics & Business Intelligence Job Location: To be confirmed Experience: 6+ Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer / Consultant to design, develop, enhance, modernize, and support enterprise reporting and analytics solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Power BI, data modelling, data integration, Microsoft Fabric, dashboard development, governance, and performance optimization. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver scalable reporting solutions, reliable data pipelines, actionable insights, and enterprise-grade analytics capabilities.

Requirements

Gathering & Analytics Consulting Conduct stakeholder workshops and gather business and reporting requirements. Define KPIs, business metrics, calculations, and reporting standards. Perform current-state assessments and gap analysis. Develop reporting roadmaps and functional and technical design specifications. 2. Data Modelling & Integration Design and develop dimensional and semantic data models. Integrate data from ERP, CRM, SAP, Microsoft Fabric, SQL databases, APIs, SharePoint, Excel, and other enterprise systems. Develop ETL/ELT processes and data transformation rules. Implement data quality checks, validation controls, and dataset performance optimization. 3. Power BI Dashboard & Report Development Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, scorecards, and executive reporting solutions. Build operational, tactical, and strategic reporting layers. Develop drill-through, drill-down, and self-service reporting capabilities. Create mobile-responsive reports and executive/C-level dashboards. Enhance existing dashboards based on evolving business requirements. 4. Governance, Security & Performance Implement Power BI governance frameworks and reporting standards. Configure Row-Level Security (RLS), access controls, and workspace permissions. Manage report lifecycle, workspace governance, and deployment strategies. Optimize report, dataset, and query performance. Maintain data lineage and metadata documentation. 5. Microsoft Fabric & Data Platform Develop and maintain Microsoft Fabric solutions. Implement Lakehouse architecture and OneLake integrations. Develop Data Factory pipelines and Dataflows. Configure semantic models and enterprise datasets. Support enterprise data platform modernization initiatives. 6. Advanced Analytics Develop forecasting and predictive analytics models. Perform trend analysis and business performance modelling. Implement scenario planning and what-if analysis. Generate actionable insights and recommendations. Support AI-driven reporting and analytics initiatives. 7. Testing, Support & Maintenance Prepare test scenarios and data/report validation scripts. Execute system integration testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT). Validate data accuracy, report consistency, and performance. Troubleshoot production incidents and resolve performance bottlenecks. Deliver corrective maintenance, enhancements, and approved change requests. 8. Documentation & Knowledge Transfer Prepare technical documentation, user guides, and training materials. Conduct end-user and administrator training. Support BI adoption and self-service reporting initiatives. Facilitate knowledge transfer and provide periodic service reports. Required Technical Skills Power BI dashboard and report development.
