Underground Fiber Optic Laborer

We are currently seeking experienced Underground Fiber Optic Laborers to join our growing team.

Responsibilities

• Pull fiber optic cable through conduit and underground pathways.
• Set and install handholes, vaults, and pull boxes.
• Assist with trenching, boring, and conduit installation.
• Dig around existing utilities safely.
• Load, unload, and organize tools and materials.
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
• Work closely with foremen and drill crews to complete projects on schedule.

Requirements

• Previous experience in underground fiber optic construction is required.
• Experience pulling fiber and setting handholes.
• Ability to read and follow construction prints is a plus.
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs. and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation preferred.
• Ability to travel, if required.
• Strong work ethic, dependable, and team-oriented. Preferred Experience
• Fiber optic installation
• Conduit placement
• Handhole and vault installation
• Trenching and directional drilling support
• Utility locating awareness Physical Demands: *Frequent walking, standing, sitting within the work area *Must be able to lift/push/pull/carry 80-100 lbs *Ability to effectively communicate with employees, management, peers, etc. *Must be able to work in various weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, and dry) *Ability to work in a confined space and at high elevations (poles, hydraulic lift buckets, ladders) *Must be able to work in a loud, noise-filled environment out in the field
