Caddie Attendant

Winners, the leading supermarket chain in Mauritius is looking for a dynamic and self-motivated individual to join its existing team.

Key Responsibilities

Assist customers at checkout (bagging, escorting elderly/pregnant customers, helping with home delivery). Support shelf replenishment and maintain aisles clean, organized, and properly faced. Ensure price labeling accuracy and proper scanning at tills. Assist in setting up and removing promotional materials. Display products according to planograms and maintain attractive merchandising standards.

Check product freshness and quality while ensuring cold chain compliance. Support goods reception, storage, and organization in chilled/cold rooms and storerooms. Maintain cleanliness in storage, aisles, and trolley areas. Provide excellent customer service and report complaints or queries to supervisors. Adhere to grooming, hygiene, and food safety standards (DIAMOND Project, Food Act compliance).

Follow Occupational Health & Safety procedures and fire safety regulations. Hold a valid Food Handler’s Certificate. Participate in inventory counts and ensure “zero stock” compliance in cold rooms mid-month. Communicate effectively with team members and encourage multi-tasking (polyvalence). Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Job Requirements : Form 1 or any other equivalent qualifications Experience in the retail sector will constitute an advantage Ensure accuracy in product labeling, quality checks, and inventory management. Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with colleagues, customers, and management.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain a clean, orderly working environment. Commitment to meeting and exceeding customer expectations. Ability to work effectively with colleagues and support new recruits Ability to work under pressure.
