Concrete Driver

Gregory Construction is seeking a reliable On-Site Concrete Driver to operate a concrete mixer truck between the concrete plant and project site. This position is responsible for safely transporting and delivering concrete while also assisting with basic on-site tasks related to concrete placement and maintaining the truck.

This is a hands-on position that requires someone who is comfortable working both behind the wheel and outside of the truck. Training may be provided for the right candidate. This is a TRAVELING role.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a concrete mixer truck between the concrete plant and job site. Deliver concrete to designated areas on the project site. Follow directions from supervisors and site personnel. Understand and respond appropriately to standard hand signals used on construction sites. Assist with placing and removing concrete chutes from the truck.

Perform light physical work outside of the truck as needed. Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Clean and maintain the concrete truck before and after use. Maintain a clean and organized truck and work area. Follow all company and job-site safety policies and procedures. Communicate effectively with supervisors, equipment operators, and other crew members.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Previous concrete or construction experience is preferred but not required. Previous concrete mixer truck experience is a plus. Ability to safely operate a truck and work around heavy construction equipment. Ability to understand and follow hand signals and directions. Ability to perform light physical work, including handling concrete chutes.

Strong commitment to safety and following job-site procedures. Dependable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team. Willing to train the right candidate. Physical Requirements Ability to sit and operate a truck for extended periods. Ability to regularly climb in and out of the truck. Ability to perform light physical work outside of the truck.

Ability to handle and position concrete chutes. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to safely work around moving equipment and active construction operations.
