Gregor is looking to hire a Service Engineer with Mechanical and hydraulic competence. We are seeking a hands-on expert to perform repair, maintenance and service on critical marine equipment.

This includes Mac. Gregor’s and third-party equipment as cranes, hatch covers, Ro. Ro equipment and/or Deck Machinery. Your main discipline is mechanical, basic understanding of hydraulics and/or electric is a plus but not required. Your commitment to quality and safety will be crucial in ensuring our customers' vessels operate smoothly and that we meet our service objectives.

You will work at local shipyards and ports. Your work requires frequent travel, mainly to various ports in Korea, and with client vessels located overseas. Services are expected to maintain flexible working hours in response to demand. More tasks and responsibilities Diagnostics and troubleshooting of electrical or mechanical equipment Supervise and perform the refurbishment, upgrades, inspections, preventative maintenance and corrective actions Identify service and spares sales opportunities and communicate them to the line manager to support all activities To support Service overall goals and budgets Preparing detailed service reports and documentation for all work performed Ensure that all activities comply with the Integrated Management System (IMS), QHSE and other rules and requirements according to Mac.

Gregor standards Reporting directly to the Operations Superintendent, APAC and Middle East located in Busan. The position will be based in Busan, but covers the entire MEA region & overseas. What you’ll need to succeed You have a background in the merchant, offshore, or maritime industry, with a primary focus on mechanical equipment.

Knowledge and experience in basic hydraulics and or electric are a plus. We are looking for a communicative, technically skilled individual who is passionate about problem-solving and committed to customer satisfaction. You are goal-oriented and have a reliable working style. The ideal candidate will enjoy hands-on work and thrive in a collaborative, multicultural environment.

Ideally you have Technical education at college in mechanical discipline, or a similar relevant field Basic hydraulics and/or electric knowledge and experience is beneficial Minimum 3-5 years of similar experience from the maritime industry Previous experience with ship and/or port cranes, winches and mechanical equipment is a plus Willingness and ability to travel Fluent in both written and spoken English Why Mac.
