Direct Support Professional (Part-Time)

Job Description POSITION: Direct Support Professional Full/Part time-Fluent in American Sign Language STATUS: Part-Time WHO IS A DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL? A supportive, “hands-on” person who assists Deaf and/or Deaf-Blind Adults with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities. Assistance includes Home-based assistance with personal care, cleaning, cooking, laundry, and medication administration.

Frequent overnight monitoring required and additional cleaning duties as assigned. Other responsibilities as identified in an annual Individual Plan (IP) meeting. EXPECTATIONS: Excellent time management skills, well organized, team player, positive attitude, patient, and respectful. Annual physical and annual flu vaccination required.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma; Relevant experience is a plus. Valid MD Driver’s License with 2 points or less. Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL).
