Training & Development Manager

Job Details: Job Location: Youngstown Manufacturing Headquarters

• Youngstown, OH, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Essential Duties and Responsibilities Includes the following: Program Development & Delivery Design, implement, and manage training programs, workshops, and e-learning initiatives. Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and align training with organizational goals. Oversee onboarding programs for new hires to ensure successful integration into the company. Leadership & Strategy Collaborate with senior leadership to develop long-term training strategies that support growth and succession planning. Establish measurable training objectives and track effectiveness through key performance indicators (KPIs). Recommend innovative learning methods, including digital platforms and blended learning solutions. Employee Development Manage career development and mentorship programs to support employee growth. Partner with managers to create personalized development plans for employees. Facilitate leadership development programs for current and emerging leaders. Compliance & Standards Ensure training programs meet legal, regulatory, and industry compliance requirements. Maintain accurate training records and documentation. Stay informed on best practices, new training technologies, and industry trends. Team & Budget Management Lead and mentor the training team, ensuring high-quality delivery of all programs. Manage training budgets, vendor relationships, and contracts.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred). Experience: 5+ years of experience in training, learning & development, or HR, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of instructional design, adult learning principles, and e-learning platforms.

Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills. Proven ability to measure ROI and effectiveness of training programs. Strong organizational, leadership, and project management skills. Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and HRIS software. Work Environment: Full-time, office-based or hybrid depending on organizational needs.

May require occasional travel to training sites or conferences. Additional Skills/or Abilities: Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization. Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Creative problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-changing environment.
