Job description
About Coastal Waste & Recycling At Coastal Waste & Recycling, we're building more than a company, we're building a team. As one of the fastest-growing privately held waste and recycling companies in the Southeast, we're looking for people who take pride in their work, put safety first, and are ready to grow with us. Partner strategically with business leaders to assess workforce needs, hiring priorities, succession considerations, and talent acquisition strategies.
Serve as a trusted talent advisor to hiring managers by providing consultative guidance on recruiting best practices, labor market conditions, candidate assessment, and hiring decisions. Manage full-cycle recruitment activities for exempt and non-exempt positions across multiple business functions and geographic regions.
Develop and execute sourcing strategies designed to attract qualified talent through traditional and non-traditional recruitment channels. Analyze recruiting metrics, hiring trends, talent pipelines, and workforce data to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend actionable solutions. Evaluate candidate qualifications, experience, competencies, and overall organizational fit while exercising discretion and independent judgment throughout the selection process.
Lead intake meetings with hiring managers to establish recruiting strategies, candidate profiles, selection criteria, and interview processes. Build and maintain proactive talent pipelines to support current and future workforce demands. Cultivate relationships with veteran organizations, trade schools, colleges, workforce development agencies, industry associations, and community partners to expand talent networks.
Develop and execute recruitment marketing initiatives that strengthen employer branding and candidate attraction efforts. Advise hiring managers on market competitiveness, compensation positioning, candidate availability, and recruitment challenges. Facilitate and guide interview processes, including candidate evaluation, interview calibration, and selection recommendations.
Negotiate employment offers and manage candidate closing strategies to maximize offer acceptance rates. Monitor recruiting activity and requisition performance to ensure alignment with organizational staffing objectives and service-level expectations. Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend enhancements that increase recruiting effectiveness, efficiency, and candidate quality.
Lead or participate in recruiting projects, workforce initiatives, talent programs, and organizational growth efforts. Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws, company policies, and talent acquisition procedures. Maintain accurate recruiting records, analytics, and reporting within Workday and other talent acquisition systems.
Serve as subject matter expert to cross-functional teams related to recruitment processes in the ATS and other onboarding systems.
