Billing Specialist

• SAINT LOUIS, MO, Salary Range: $18.00 - $20.00Hourly, Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Specialist to join our team. This hybrid position requires a strong understanding of medical billing, coding, and data entry processes to ensure accurate and timely submission of claims. The ideal candidate will be proficient in medical terminology, procedural and ICD-10 coding, and electronic claims submission.

Key Responsibilities

Process and submit electronic claims accurately and efficiently. Ensure proper use of procedural and ICD-10 coding for billing purposes. Maintain high attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes. Utilize Cstar and SOR programs for billing and data management. Perform data entry in CIMOR as needed.

Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure compliance with industry standards. May include some nights and weekends.

Qualifications

Qualifications: Prior medical billing experience preferred. Strong understanding of medical terminology, procedural and ICD-10 coding. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes. Knowledge of electronic claims submission is helpful. Experience with Cstar and SOR programs is preferred. Proficiency in data entry, particularly in CIMOR.

Strong organizational and communication skills. Background Check: Must be able to successfully pass required criminal background checks or obtain and provide an approved exemption letter from the Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH) prior to employment.
