Accountant – 6-Month Contract

We have eight aged care villages across NSW and SA, including five within the Sydney Metro area one in Griffith in regional NSW and two in South Australia as well as our Home Care program, Live Easy We’re looking for an Accountant who combines strong attention to detail with a customer-focused approach and a genuine desire to make a difference.

This is a maximum 6-month contract opportunity , supporting a range of accounting functions across Scalabrini Communities. What you’ll do You’ll support a range of accounting functions while working closely with our Finance team and internal stakeholders. Your day-to-day will include: Supporting Accounts Receivable, cash management and resident account reconciliations. Processing and reconciling government funding claims. Supporting fixed assets and payroll reporting.

Preparing month-end journals and completing General Ledger and balance sheet reconciliations. Assisting with variance analysis and monthly reporting. Supporting audit preparation and maintaining accurate financial records. Working with internal teams to resolve financial and resident account queries. Following financial policies, procedures, internal controls and governance requirements.

Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. What you’ll bring Previous experience in an accounting role, with experience across reconciliations and month-end processes. Relevant accounting qualifications or equivalent experience. Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel. A collaborative, flexible and can-do attitude. Experience in aged care, health or not-for-profit is highly regarded. Experience with Epicor Cloud, i. Care or Services Australia is desirable. Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, cares about the people they support and understands that good finance helps support good care.
