Senior NodeJS Engineer

Job responsibilities

Extensive experience designing, building, and operating production Node.js services in TypeScript Deep understanding of the Node.js runtime, including event-loop behavior, profiling, and performance tuning Experience designing event-driven systems with Kafka: partitioning, ordering guarantees, idempotent processing, dead-letter queues Experience with zero-downtime database schema migrations and query/connection-pool tuning under load Experience with distributed tracing and observability (Open.

Telemetry, Datadog), including defining SLOs and error budgets Strong knowledge of API security, including OWASP API Top 10 and OAuth2/OIDC flows Experience leading technical design and incident response for services in production Developing high-performance applications by writing testable, reusable,and efficient code.

Developing and maintaining all server-side network components. Ensuring optimal performance of the central database and responsiveness to front-end requests. Collaborating with front-end developers on the integration of elements. Designing customer-facing UI and back-end services for various business processes. Implementing effective security protocols, data protection measures, and storage solutions.

Running diagnostic tests, repairing defects, and providing technical support. Documenting Node.js processes, including database schemas, as well as preparing reports. Recommending and implementing improvements to processes and technologies. Keeping informed of advancements in the field of Node.js development.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience as a backend or full-stack developer with a focus on Node.js. Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+) and Node.js, with experience in building RESTful APIs. Familiarity with frameworks such as Express.js or Koa. Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL), such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis.

Understanding of server-side templating languages, front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), and frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js). Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes). Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
