Project Manager – Rail Infrastructure About the Employer Our client is an engineering and construction business delivering major transport, defence and infrastructure works. It brings together technical expertise, collaborative project delivery and a commitment to sustainable outcomes. The Opportunity Based in Sydney, you will manage rail infrastructure projects within a national pipeline of work.

This position carries responsibility for delivery from initial planning through completion, bringing together people, budgets, contracts and operational requirements.

Your Responsibilities

Set the delivery approach and lead rail projects from contract award to successful completion. Control budgets and schedules, monitor commercial performance and manage risks affecting project objectives. Maintain productive relationships with clients, subcontractors and other project stakeholders. Direct multidisciplinary teams, coach team members and build capability across the delivery group.

Make sure project activities satisfy contractual obligations, quality standards, safety expectations and regulatory requirements. Provide clear progress reporting, contribute to strategic planning and improve delivery processes.

Requirements

Skills, Education and Requirements A tertiary qualification in engineering, project management or a related discipline. A track record as a Project Manager delivering major rail or other infrastructure works. Strong commercial judgement, with experience overseeing budgets, contracts and client relationships. Evidence of leading multidisciplinary teams to complete projects safely, within budget and to agreed timeframes.

Confident leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills. A proactive approach to solving problems and working collaboratively to achieve project outcomes.
