AS400 Senior Developer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain IBM i (AS400) applications aligned with business requirements. • Develop and enhance RPGLE programs, ensuring code quality, reusability, and maintainability. • Perform impact analysis, effort estimation, and technical design for new features and enhancements. • Debug production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes with proper documentation. • Optimize program performance and improve batch/online processing reliability on AS400. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements, validate solutions, and support releases. • Create and execute unit test cases, support system/integration testing, and ensure defect-free delivery. • Maintain technical documentation, including program specs, change logs, and support notes.
