Job Description As our Finance Digital Lead / Technologist , you will take a key role in the global Finance technology roadmap and technology projects, such as global Order-To-Cash (OTC) program, e-invoicing projects or other global Finance technology implementations.
You will contribute to shape how Wallenius Wilhelmsen’s financial systems connect to shipping operations, delivering scalable, secure and future-ready digital solutions. This is a pivotal role in our digital transformation program. You’ll collaborate closely with business stakeholders, Finance product owners, and engineering teams to translate financial and operational needs into technical design, ensuring that our solutions align with enterprise standards and deliver measurable business value.
What You’ll Do Lead global Finance and OTC technology projects, including e‑invoicing and technology global implementation projects. Translate financial, regulatory and operational requirements into clear functional and technical specifications, working closely with business stakeholders and process and product owners.
Manage cross-functional teams facilitating and driving the collaboration between Finance, Digital, Engineering, and Operational teams to deliver high‑quality solutions. Ensure solution compliance with governance, data quality, performance, and regulatory requirements, especially for global finance and e‑invoicing processes.
Oversee vendors, implementation partners, and technical teams, ensuring deliverables meet enterprise standards, timelines, and architectural guidelines. Promote continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to simplify financial processes, enhance data flows, and increase automation across Finance and OTC. Job Requirements What You Bring Experience in driving and managing global Business/Finance Technology projects – preferable from technology or management consulting or a similar role in a global company Strong functional expertise and keen interest in finance processes (e.
g. OTC, PTP, RTR) – experiences from e-invoicing initiatives is a strong benefit Hands‑on experience working in cross‑functional and global delivery setups, collaborating with Finance, Digital/IT, and Operations teams to drive progress and resolve issues. Solid understanding of data governance, process controls, and regulatory compliance, especially in financial data flows and e‑invoicing / tax reporting environments.
Experience managing or coordinating external vendors and implementation partners, ensuring solution quality, alignment to standards, and on‑time delivery. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to map end‑to‑end processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose practical technology or process improvements.
Familiarity with modern integration concepts (APIs, message‑based integrations, workflow engines), and the ability to work effectively with integration and engineering teams. A continuous‑improvement mindset, with experience simplifying processes, increasing automation, or enhancing data flows in finance or operational domains.
Strong communicator who can bridge business goals and technical solutions in a global context. Degree in IT, Engineering, or Finance (or equivalent experience).
