• Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 PM Summary/Objective: The Conversion Rewinder is responsible for Safe and efficient operation of production machinery including Rewinders, and other related equipment. Specific Responsibilities and Essential Functions: Conduct daily safety inspection of work area and addresses noted issues Prepares production supplies including cores, tape and labels Conducts daily inspection and preventative maintenance of machinery Conducts general set up of production machinery Installs rollers and related equipment on machinery Reads job specification sheet to determine job requirements Loads, centers, and webs product into proper machine Maintains proper speeds and settings of machinery throughout shift Routinely checks product samples against job specifications Conducts Quality procedures including inspection of finished goods for quality defects Completes required paperwork for each job Cleans up machine and work area Meets production and quality goals Assists in training of new employees Assists with other tasks as needed Complies with all Plant Rules All other appropriate duties as assigned by the management team Qualifications: Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to learn and understand machine operations and the use of the proper tools for the job Attention to Detail: Ability to focus while maintaining important details Critical Thinking: The ability to quickly identify a problem and find a solution Computer Competence: Knowledge of basic computer skills Self-Reliance: Must be able to work independently Innovation: Must demonstrate an open and growth mindset, embracing change, stepping out of comfort zone, and applies creativity in generating ideas and solutions Flexibility: Willingness to cross-train on different jobs and machines in conversion and other departments Safety: Compliance with all safety regulations Cleanliness: Comply with 6s by maintaining a clean and organized work area Dependability: Regular reliable attendance and demonstrates strong work ethic
