Household Nurse LPN - Baylor

At Piedmont Crossing , our Household LPNs play a vital role in creating a warm, person-centered environment where residents are empowered to live with dignity, choice, and purpose. Working within a household model of care, the Household LPN collaborates closely with the Nurse Leader and interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality clinical care while fostering meaningful relationships with residents and their families.

The Household LPN is responsible for performing nursing duties that require licensure as a Practical Nurse, including medication administration, resident assessments and observations, documentation, and communication with physicians, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals as needed. This role supports regulatory compliance, promotes resident-directed care, and serves as a mentor and role model for professional nursing practices within the household.

Minimum Education Requirements: Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing. Minimum Experience Requirements: Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience required. Experience in a skilled nursing, long-term care, or rehabilitation setting preferred. Additional Qualifications: Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of North Carolina and ability to maintain licensure in good standing.

Current CPR certification. Experience or specialized training in geriatric nursing preferred. Demonstrated leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to nursing practice and resident care. A commitment to person-centered, resident-directed care and quality outcomes.
