JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Game Mathematician to design, balance, and validate mathematical models for slot and casino games, ensuring engaging and commercially successful gameplay. This role focuses on RTP balancing, volatility, hit frequency, reel configurations, and statistical analysis. Working closely with game designers, developers, and product teams, you will ensure accurate implementation, regulatory compliance, and alignment with the intended player experience.

Through simulations and probability modeling, you will directly influence gameplay behavior, feature pacing, retention, and overall game performance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and maintain mathematical models for slot and casino games, including base game, bonus features, free spins, jackpots, and special mechanics. Create and balance reel strips, symbol distributions, paylines, paytables, multipliers, and feature probabilities. Calculate and validate RTP (Return to Player), hit frequency, volatility, expected value (EV), and other key gameplay metrics.

Build and execute large-scale simulations to verify mathematical accuracy, gameplay stability, and balancing targets. Analyze game flow and feature pacing to ensure engaging and balanced player experiences. Collaborate closely with game designers during the creation and iteration of game mechanics and feature concepts.

Support developers and backend engineers during implementation of mathematical logic and troubleshooting. Prepare and maintain clear mathematical documentation for internal teams, QA validation, and certification purposes. Review implemented game logic and verify alignment with approved mathematical specifications. Analyze game performance data and player behavior trends to identify balancing improvements and optimization opportunities.

Research market trends and competitor products to benchmark mathematical structures, volatility profiles, and feature performance. Ensure all mathematical systems comply with internal standards and regulatory requirements for target markets. Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas for new slot mechanics and gameplay features.

JOB REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Analysis, or equivalent practical experience. Solid understanding of probability theory, statistics and analytical problem-solving, with strong attention to detail. Knowledge of slot game mechanics, including RTP, volatility models and overall game balancing principles.
