Senior Fuel Strategy Expert
Job description
Our Partner is a leading regional fuel retail and mobility services provider with operations across multiple Central and Eastern European markets. To support long-term retail growth and strengthen its Group-level fuel commercial expertise, the organization is looking for an experienced professional to join its international team.
The role focuses on shaping and coordinating fuel offer and pricing activities at Group level, working closely with local markets and key stakeholders to ensure consistent commercial performance and strategic alignment across countries.
Your Responsibilities
Define, develop and execute the Group-level fuel offer and pricing strategy in line with business objectives and long-term retail ambitions Take ownership of key fuel-related KPIs, including retail market share, sales volumes, margins, customer frequency, loyalty and premium fuel penetration Design fuel pricing and consumer marketing strategies in close cooperation with local fuel teams and the Group Retail Marketing function Apply market research, internal analytics and pricing tools to optimize pricing effectiveness, volume and margin performance Develop and oversee a structured fuel category management framework aligned with 4P principles Actively contribute to annual business planning, forecasting and transfer pricing processes across markets Monitor monthly sales and commercial performance versus annual business plan targets and identify improvement opportunities Define corrective actions together with local fuel category managers and follow up on their implementation Cooperate closely with the Group Fuel Card team to align KPIs and support non-fuel upselling initiatives for fleet customers Support fuel quality assurance, inventory efficiency and working capital optimization across the retail fuel value chain Drive best practice sharing across markets in areas such as pricing, promotions, supply and loss prevention Collaborate effectively with key internal stakeholders including Refining, Logistics, Wholesale, Network Development, Controlling, Security and Marketing Act as a role model and represent corporate values in everyday cooperation Requirements Requirements Minimum 5 years of experience in retail and/or commercial roles University degree in Economics, Business or a related field Experience in fuel management (retail, wholesale and/or fuel card environments) is a strong advantage Previous exposure to cross-country or international cooperation is preferred Strong entrepreneurial and commercial mindset Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills Analytical thinking combined with a customer-focused approach Ability to work independently in a complex, matrix organization Fluent business-level English Confident user-level IT skills (MS Office) Valid driving license and willingness to travel Benefits What We Offer A strategically important role with Group-level visibility and measurable business impact Opportunity to influence fuel offer and pricing decisions across multiple markets Dynamic, international working environment within a stable and well-established organization Performance-based annual bonus scheme linked to individual and company results Cafeteria benefits, provided as part of the overall compensation package Private healthcare services and additional insurance coverage supporting employee well-being and security Company-provided mobile tools to support efficient professional work Company car provided in line with business needs and company policy Professional development opportunities in a complex, multinational environment Long-term career perspective within a future-oriented organization
