Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant

Description The COTA is a member of the multi-disciplinary team that works in the use of therapeutic, creative and self-care activities toward the goal of coping with disability and improving functioning in the activities of daily living.

Requirements

Graduate of an Occupational Therapy Assistant Program approved by the Louisiana State Board of Occupational Therapy Examiner or its equivalent. Currently licensed by the State of Louisiana Experience: 1-2 years (preferred) Skills: Effective interpersonal written and verbal skills, psychological sensitivity, supervisory, and instructional skills.

Must be able to work effectively with patients of all age groups, pediatrics, adolescents, adult and geriatric. Able to accurately document /record progress notes, operate effectively and efficiently under stress.
