Id=619677&lang=en_US ABOUT OUR SCHOOLS AND POSITION: The California Virtual Academies (a network of 9 public charter schools) deliver online/virtual home based instruction to TK-12 students in California.

While our schools do offer some scheduling flexibility, students are still required to complete approximately 4-6 hours of coursework daily & log attendance (entered by their parent/learning coach and verified by the teacher). The mission of California Virtual Academy is to provide an exemplary individualized and engaging educational experience for students by incorporating school and community/family partnerships coupled with a rigorous curriculum along with a data-driven and student-centered instructional model.

Student success will be measured by valid and reliable assessment data, parent and student satisfaction, and continued institutional growth within the academic community. The Attendance Advocate helps students and families maintain compliance while attending school. The position fosters a high-touch approach to educational support and demonstrates superior customer service skills, along with a commitment to providing the best possible experience for students and families.

Requirements

/ Qualifications Requirements and Experience

• High School Diploma
• Strong organizational skills
• Experience working in an educational setting
• Detail oriented
• Able to balance and complete multiple projects
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Strong Interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-directed but comfortable working as part of a team
• Attend regularly scheduled meetings
• Attend in-person training as scheduled Desired Qualifications
• Associates Degree
• Experience working with at risk students
• Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology
• An ability to learn new technology tools quickly (e.g., database and web-based tools)
• An ability to support and guide adults as well as students Licenses and Certifications
• N/A Please review the attached job description. HOURS AND SALARY INFORMATION: Monday-Friday work hours between 8:00am-4:30pm. You are not allowed to have another job during these contracted hours. Hourly Rate: $23.25 Full time employees are offered health, dental, and vision benefits.
