• The Associate Executive Director of Childcare at MERRIMACK VALLEY YMCA is responsible for overseeing and managing the childcare programs within the organization. This role involves ensuring the delivery of high-quality childcare services, developing strategic plans for program growth, and fostering an inclusive and nurturing environment for children and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans for the childcare programs to ensure alignment with the organization's mission and goals.
• Oversee the daily operations of childcare programs, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Manage and lead a team of childcare professionals, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
• Collaborate with parents, staff, and community partners to enhance program offerings and address the needs of children and families.
• Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making adjustments as necessary to improve quality and outcomes.
• Develop and manage budgets for childcare programs, ensuring financial sustainability and resource optimization.
• Promote a culture of safety, inclusivity, and respect within the childcare programs.
• Represent the YMCA in community and professional settings, advocating for the needs and interests of children and families.

Qualifications

Required Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field. Required Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a childcare or educational setting.
• Proven track record of managing and developing childcare programs and services.
• Experience in budget management and financial oversight for childcare operations.

• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with parents, staff, and community stakeholders.
