Quality Engineer - Utilities and Civil Construction

About the Employer Our client is an established engineering, construction and operations business delivering transport, building, water and other infrastructure works across Australia. Its multidisciplinary teams support the development and operation of assets used by local communities. The Opportunity Provide quality assurance for utility and civil works on a major infrastructure programme.

Your Work

• Apply an ISO 9001-aligned quality system and prepare inspection, testing and activity documentation.
• Inspect work and oversee supplier and subcontractor compliance.
• Conduct audits, investigate non-conformances and verify corrective actions.
• Maintain test records, work-lot evidence and performance reports.
• Advise project stakeholders and identify practical quality improvements and risk controls.

Requirements

Skills, Education and Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification or diploma in civil engineering, science, building, construction, quality or project management.
• At least three years of quality-engineering experience in construction, including utility and civil works exposure.
• Ability to perform inspections, tests and audits against specifications.
• Knowledge of quality systems and experience in project-based assurance or compliance.
• Familiarity with Aconex, SharePoint or similar document systems and quality reporting.
• Experience in ISO 9001 environments and ability to work independently.
