Ron Tonkin claims he was born with gas in his veins. Because of that passion, the Tonkin family has been providing Portland families with cars and trucks for nearly half a century. Since 1960 with one Chevy store, the Tonkin family now owns 14 auto dealerships and one exotic Italian motorcycle store - Motocorsa. Acura, Chevrolet, Dodge, Ferrari, Fisker, Honda, Hyundai, KIA, Lotus, Maserati, Mazda, Nissan, Scion, Toyota along with Aprilia, Ducati, and MV Agusta are the chosen new brands the Group offers. Of course there is a wide selection of used cars available and TonkinGreen to assist with the selection of “green cars” such as hybrids, diesels, and high mpg offerings. Ron is still quite active in the business, while sons Ed and Brad manage all levels of the corporation. The Tonkins are most certainly known for their “Love of Cars” and also for their love of the Portland Metropolitan community.
