Patient Companion

The NMRMC Patient Companion, under the direction of the RN, cares for all age groups and assists with keeping patients safe at NMRMC. The Patient Companion#should alert nursing with a change in patient condition or any time the patient is trying to leave the room. The Patient Companion#should notify nursing staff any time they need to leave the patient#s room.

# QUALIFICATIONS # LICENSE / CERTIFICATION / REGISTRATION: BLS

• Obtains RQI BLS certification within appropriate quarter (approximately within 3 months of hire), maintains quarterly RQI requirements.
