Activities assistant position details: Days, shifts, hours, etc. Activities assistant job duties include: Participates in community planning related to the interests of the residents and their needs. Coordinates transportation for trips/outings when necessary. Creates and maintains an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the community.

Participates in resident/group council meetings when/if requested and provides support service to such councils. Supervises programs as necessary. Encourages residents to participate in program. Qualifications

Activities assistant qualifications: Experience in organizing, planning, promoting and directing cultural arts activities is preferred. Experience working with a geriatric population is preferred.
