CNC Gear Machinist

CNC Gear Machinist Location: Roscoe, IL 61073 Job Description We are seeking a skilled CNC Gear Machinist to join our team in Roscoe, IL. The ideal candidate will have experience setting up and operating gear hobbing, shaping, and grinding machines. While experience with all three is preferred, candidates with expertise in any one or two of these gear cutting processes are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Set-up and operate gear hobbing machines Set-up and operate gear shaping machines Set-up and operate gear grinding machines Load and unload parts efficiently and safely Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate production records Conduct machine set-ups and adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency Use GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) to interpret blueprints and ensure precision Apply shop math skills to support machining operations Utilize calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools to inspect parts Maintain attention to detail to meet aerospace industry standards Demonstrate knowledge of cutting tools and their proper application Qualifications Experience with gear cutting processes (hobbing, shaping, grinding) preferred but not required to have all three Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing standards is a plus Proficient in reading and interpreting GD&T Strong shop math skills Ability to perform cycle counts and machine set-ups Excellent attention to detail and quality focus Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers Knowledge of cutting tools and machining processes If you are a motivated CNC Gear Machinist looking to work in a dynamic aerospace environment, we encourage you to apply.
