Position Summary

The Automotive Service BDC Representative supports the service and parts departments by greeting customers, answering incoming calls, scheduling service appointments, generating repair orders, and providing administrative support. This position is essential to maintaining an efficient service department and delivering an outstanding customer experience.

Essential Duties

& Responsibilities Greet customers professionally as they arrive in the service department. Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers with service-related inquiries. Schedule automotive service appointments and maintain an organized appointment calendar. Generate repair orders and accurately enter customer and vehicle information.

Close service invoices and assist with repair order processing. Maintain and file repair orders, parts invoices, rental forms, and other service documentation. Identify missing paperwork and notify the appropriate personnel. Provide clerical and administrative support to the service and parts departments. Handle customer complaints with professionalism, integrity, and poise, escalating concerns to management when necessary.

Stay informed about dealership services, maintenance offerings, products, and pricing updates. Maintain a professional appearance and a clean, organized workspace. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Excellent customer service and communication skills. Professional phone etiquette and a customer-first attitude. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dealership environment. Basic computer skills and the ability to learn dealership management systems. Previous experience in automotive service, a dealership BDC, service reception, appointment scheduling, or administrative support is preferred.
