Senior Software Engineer (Backend)

Numo https://numofx.com/ is building a futures market on the Nigerian naira leveraging stablecoin rails. We are looking for an elite backend engineer who loves working on very technical, complex problems in our office in Ikoyi, Lagos.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Matching Engine: Design, implement, and optimize robust smart contracts and backend infrastructure driving our high throughput orderbook.
• Risk & Margin Engines: Build and refine real-time risk engines and margin systems that handle high leverage and liquidations deterministically before insolvency occurs.
• End-to-End Ownership: Ship production ready code across the lifecycle.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Hardcore System Mindset: Experience engineering concurrent, deterministic backend systems where security, state management, and edge-case prevention are paramount.
• Autonomous Builder Mentality: A track record of shipping complex technical projects from scratch. You write clean code, value exhaustive testing, and take pride in robust architecture.

• Smart Contract Expertise: Strong production experience writing secure, highly optimized smart contracts on the EVM (Base).
