PT Certified Medication Aide

Part-Time Certified Medication Aide (CMA) Location: Dubuque, IA 52001 Organization: Hills & Dales Schedule: Week 1- 3:00pm-9:00pm Monday, Wednesday, and Friday Week 2- 3:00pm-9:00pm Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. This schedule will also include every other holiday. Hills & Dales is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our team on a part-time basis.

In this role, you will support the health and well-being of individuals served by administering medications and treatments, assisting nursing staff, monitoring health needs, and ensuring accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately. Document medication administration and resident care activities. Monitor medication and nursing supply inventories. Observe and report resident health concerns to nursing staff. Assist with direct resident support and accompany residents to appointments as needed.

Maintain HIPAA compliance, confidentiality, and resident privacy. Support a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment.

Qualifications

Iowa Certified Medication Aide certification (50+ hour course required). High school diploma or equivalent. Mandatory Reporter certification (or ability to obtain). Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills. Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, and healthcare teams. Valid driver's license and ability to drive agency vehicles preferred.
