Job description
We are seeking an experienced Java Lead to drive backend development and lead technical initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong programming expertise, hands-on experience with cloud platforms, and the ability to guide teams in building scalable, high-performance applications. This role involves both technical leadership and active contribution to development, ensuring best practices and high-quality delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor development teams, ensuring high-quality code and timely delivery
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and applications
- Work with SQL databases for efficient data management and processing
- Leverage GCP for application deployment, scaling, and performance optimization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement technical solutions
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and system design principles
- Participate in and drive code reviews to maintain code quality
- Support development of ETL processes and data pipelines where required Key Skills & Qualifications
- Strong programming skills in at least one: Java, C++, or Python
- Proficiency in SQL and database management
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience in leading teams and driving technical initiatives
- Strong understanding of backend system design and development
- Experience delivering production-grade applications
- Familiarity with ETL processes and data pipelines (good to have)
- Experience with version control systems and code review practices
