Specialty Painters Employment Type: Full-Time Position Location: Sterling, VA Pay Rate: $25 / hr. Classification: Non-Exempt, Hourly About the Role We are seeking experienced and dependable Specialty Painters to join our team on a commercial construction project. Your spray experience, punctuality, and attendance will help keep the project safe and on schedule.

Position Overview

As a Specialty Painter, you will spray intumescent fireproofing on structural steel using airless spray equipment. You will set up, run, and clean spray equipment each shift and build coating to the required thickness. Successful candidates will have airless spray experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely at heights.

Mix material, load the hopper, and set up, prime, flush, and clean spray equipment each shift. Build coating to the required thickness and check it with a wet film gauge. Follow site safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Promptly report equipment problems, unsafe conditions, and job site hazards to the supervisor.

Qualifications

Authorized to work in the United States Experience spraying with airless equipment Reliable transportation to Chantilly, VA Ability to wear a respirator if required (medical evaluation and fit test provided) Ability to complete scissor lift training and work at heights Strong attendance and reliability Preferred: Intumescent or spray-applied fireproofing experience Crew lead experience OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Working Conditions Work on an active commercial construction site Work at heights from scissor lifts Frequent standing, bending, reaching, and lifting Respirator use may be required Exposure to dust, overspray, and construction debris Equal Opportunity Employer Positive Pressure is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
