Carpenters Employment Type: Full-Time, Temporary Position Location: Chantilly, VA Pay Rate: $28 / hr. Classification: Non-Exempt, Hourly About the Role We are seeking experienced and dependable Carpenters to join our team on a commercial construction project. Your carpentry skills, punctuality, and attendance will help keep the project safe and on schedule.

Position Overview

As a Carpenter, you will install fire-rated board fireproofing on structural steel beams, columns, and roof deck. You will measure, cut, and fasten board, use pin welding equipment to attach fasteners to steel, and work from scissor lifts. Successful candidates will have commercial carpentry or drywall experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely at heights.

Measure, cut, and fit board accurately using hand and power tools. Attach fasteners to steel using pin welding equipment. Work safely from scissor lifts and at heights. Follow site safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Promptly report equipment problems, unsafe conditions, and job site hazards to the supervisor.

Qualifications

Authorized to work in the United States Commercial carpentry or drywall/board installation experience Ability to read measurements and use hand and power tools Reliable transportation to Chantilly, VA Ability to pass a medical evaluation and N95 respirator fit test (provided, paid time) Ability to complete scissor lift training and work at heights (provided, paid time) Strong attendance and reliability Preferred: Fire-rated board or board fireproofing experience Pin welding experience OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Working Conditions Work on an active commercial construction site Work at heights from scissor lifts Frequent standing, bending, reaching, and lifting N95 respirator use required Exposure to dust and construction debris Equal Opportunity Employer Positive Pressure is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
