Job description

HR Officer is responsible for managing the daily operations of a human resources department to support an organization's workforce. Their role typically bridges the gap between management and employees, ensuring compliance with local labor laws while fostering a productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

The duties of an HR Officer often cover the entire employee lifecycle, from recruitment to separation.

  • Recruitment and Selection: Managing end-to-end recruitment, including creating job descriptions, posting vacancies on platforms like Jobstreet or Indeed Philippines, screening candidates, and conducting interviews.
  • Employee Relations & Compliance: Ensuring all company policies and practices align with the Philippine Labor Code and other government regulations (e.g., SSS, Phil. Health, Pag-IBIG). They also handle employee grievances and disciplinary actions.
  • Payroll & Benefits Administration: Overseeing accurate payroll processing and managing mandatory and company-initiated benefits like leaves, insurance, and performance incentives.
  • Training & Development: Identifying training needs and coordinating workshops or orientation programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
  • Personnel Record Management: Maintaining up-to-date and confidential employee files (often called 201 files), tracking attendance, and monitoring leave credits.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related social sciences.

  • Experience: Atleast 1 year
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), strong communication skills (verbal and written), and knowledge of Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).
