Job description

Position Overview

The MIS & Costing Manager will be responsible for leading the organization’s costing functions, pricing analysis, budgeting, and management information reporting. The role requires strong analytical abilities, expertise in cost management, and the capability to generate actionable insights for senior management. The incumbent will work closely with finance, sales, operations, and plant teams (Jammu and others) to ensure accurate financial reporting and effective decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Pricing, Costing & Budgeting Prepare and maintain Price Lists for all product categories. Conduct Cost Audit and ensure cost control across divisions. Prepare and monitor Annual Budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis. Review Standard Costing prepared by Jammu Plant and update costs as required. Manage PO Price Approval process in coordination with procurement and management.
  2. MIS & Performance Reporting Prepare Monthly Performance Reports for MIS (plan vs actual). Generate Monthly Actual Performance Reports for all business units. Conduct MIS Sales Analysis, consumption trends, and contribution analysis. Prepare Low Gross Contribution (Low GC) Product Analysis with recommendations. Prepare Secondary Sales / Secondary Stock Details regularly. Develop and maintain other MIS Reports such as: – Dosage-wise quantity details – Per tablet Gross Margin / Net Profit calculation – Product-wise profitability insights
  3. Profitability & Commission Analysis Compute monthly and quarterly Incentive Calculations for sales teams. Prepare Commission Detail Reports as per company policy. Consolidate and publish Profitability Reports for multiple sites.
  4. Inventory & Valuation Prepare Quarterly Stock Details for Balance Sheet finalization. Conduct Monthly Valuation of Inventory as per accounting and cost standards. Review stock movement, ageing, and reconciliation with plant & warehouse teams.
  5. Capex & Financial Analysis Maintain and update Capex. Review capital expenditure proposals and track ongoing capex projects. Support management in Performance Analysis, cost reduction initiatives, and business decision-making.
  6. Miscellaneous Responsibilities Support Audit Requirements related to costing, pricing, and MIS. Improve process efficiency through automation and digital MIS solutions. Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Plant, Sales, Purchase & Finance.

Requirements

Key Skills Required Strong knowledge of Costing Standards, Marginal Costing, and Financial Analysis. Advanced Excel, Power BI, and ERP exposure (SAP/Oracle preferred). Strong analytical and interpretation skills. Excellent communication and reporting skills. Ability to handle high-volume data with accuracy. Preferred Profile CMA qualified with strong experience in pharmaceutical or manufacturing sector.

Experience in MIS, costing, pricing analysis, and plant coordination. Ability to work independently and manage tight timelines.
