The Schaumburg Park District is an award-winning public agency that provides its 80,000 residents with a wide variety of recreational facilities, programs, events, parks, and open spaces. The Sport Center is the Park District’s all-indoor athletic facility. This 110,000 square-foot building includes four basketball courts, six volleyball courts, two soccer fields (convertible to one softball/ baseball field), and a gymnastics center.

JOB SUMMARY

The Schaumburg Park District is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Pickleball Instructor to lead private one-on-one lessons and group instruction for participants of varying ages and skill levels. The instructor will teach pickleball fundamentals, rules, techniques, and strategies while creating a fun, safe, and inclusive learning environment.

The instructor is also responsible for coordinating lesson schedules and must maintain reliable availability for lessons. LOCATION: The Sport Center, 1141 W. Irving Park Rd, Schaumburg, IL 60193 QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have substantial knowledge of pickleball. The ideal candidate has strong pickleball skills, excellent communication abilities, and is motivated to help others learn and improve their game.

Prior teaching experience is a plus. Successful completion of our CPR/AED certification is required within the first 6 months of employment. SCHEDULING & PAY: This is a year-round part-time position with a flexible, variable schedule based on lesson demand and facility availability. Private lessons will generally be scheduled Monday

• Friday between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., during open pickleball play hours at the Sport Center. Lessons will be one hour in length. Additional scheduling flexibility may be available during the summer season based on participant demand and facility availability. The pay for this position is $25.00/hour.
