Medical Receptionist

Job Summary

The Island Creek Clinic is seeking a dedicated and personable Medical Receptionist to join our team. This role is pivotal in providing excellent patient care and administrative support in our outpatient clinic setting. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Interaction: Greet patients, manage check-ins and check-outs, schedule appointments, and handle patient inquiries with professionalism and empathy. Administrative Duties: Manage patient records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy. Handle phone calls, emails, and other communications. Collect and process payments, manage billing, and coordinate insurance verifications.

Maintain office supplies and assist in keeping the reception area tidy and organized. Team Support: Work closely with medical staff to ensure smooth operation of the clinic, including preparing patient charts, managing referrals, and supporting in other administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; further education in healthcare administration or related field is a plus. Previous experience in a medical office or similar setting preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between office locations.

Compensation
