Job Description This is the first level in the Deputy Sheriff series. This class is a fully certified Peace Officer responsible for performing duties in assigned divisions of the Sheriff's Office: Court Operations, Field Operations, Support Operations and Jail Operations, based on the needs of the agency and at the discretion of the Sheriff or his designee.
Applicants must pass a comprehensive background process (criminal, controlled substance, credit, driving, employment history checks) and an oral interview in the first phase of the recruitment process. The second phase includes a drug screen, polygraph and psychological exam.
