C Squad Wrestling Coach

Position Title: C Squad Wrestling Coach School: Waseca Junior/Senior High School Location: Waseca, MN Season: Winter Season Application Deadline: Until Filled Position Overview Waseca Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic C Squad Wrestling Coach to support the continued development of the Waseca Wrestling program.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Head Wrestling Coach and coaching staff to provide a positive, competitive, and developmentally appropriate experience for our student-athletes.

Responsibilities

Plan and conduct organized, safe, and developmentally appropriate practices. Teach wrestling fundamentals, techniques, rules, and strategies. Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, accountability, and personal growth. Provide meaningful opportunities for student-athletes to develop their skills and confidence. Work collaboratively with the Head Wrestling Coach and program staff to maintain consistency throughout the Waseca Wrestling program.

Supervise student-athletes during practices, competitions, transportation, and other team activities. Communicate effectively and professionally with student-athletes, families, coaches, staff, and administration. Follow all Waseca Public Schools and Minnesota State High School League policies, guidelines, and expectations.

Model and promote the values and expectations of the Waseca Way.

Qualifications

Previous wrestling coaching or competitive experience preferred. Knowledge of wrestling fundamentals, techniques, and rules. Experience working with junior high or high school student-athletes preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Ability to build positive relationships with student-athletes and families.

Commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the mat. Must meet all Waseca Public Schools and MSHSL coaching requirements.
