Accounts Clerk (Malta based candidates only)

Our client, a well established company, is looking for an Accounts Clerk to join its Finance team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will support day-to-day accounting and administrative activities, with a focus on sales transactions, reconciliations, and customer payment monitoring, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across financial processes.

Recruiting applicants with previous accounting experience in Malta.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out sales reconciliations and assist in resolving discrepancies. Monitor customer payments, follow up on outstanding balances, and maintain accurate payment records. Review sales invoices and supporting documentation to verify accuracy and identify inconsistencies. Liaise with internal teams to resolve queries, obtain relevant documentation, and ensure smooth accounting processes.

Prepare ad hoc financial reports as required. Assist with general accounting and administrative duties, providing ongoing support to the Finance team.

Requirements

Previous experience working in an accounting role in Malta is essential. Advanced Level of Education in Accounting. Good understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial administration. Strong numerical and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail. Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.

Good written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and communicate professionally with customers. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software would be considered an asset.
