Medical Staff Coordinator

Provides oversight in the credentialing and privileging process for Randolph Hospital#s Medical and Dental Staff.# Coordinates Medical Staff credentialing functions including the processing of applications for initial appointment and the initiation and processing of reappointment applications all according to the Medical Staff Bylaws, Joint Commission Standards, and State and Federal Regulations.

Other duties include maintenance of the Medical and Dental Staff Bylaws and related policies, and oversight and management of medical staff departmental and committee meetings, including meeting schedules, agenda development, meeting minutes and meeting follow-up as appropriate.# Development and maintenance of the monthly emergency call schedule.

The candidate should currently hold or pursue certification through NAMSS of either the CPCS or CPMSM, as well as having obtained an Associate or Bachelor#s degree. Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong computer skills is required.# Ability to efficiently handle responsibilities independently in an accurate and timely manner.

Strong communication skills with the ability to positively interact with physicians, hospital personnel, and guests both in the office and on the phone.# Ability to be flexible and function with frequent interruptions.# Excellent customer service skills required.# A minimum of two (2) years experience in Medical Staff Services or other healthcare environment required.

Previous credentialing experiences a plus.########
