Take the lead as a Les Mills Instructor at the Arthur J Glatfelter YMCA (90 North Newberry Street, York, PA) and turn every BODYCOMBAT® class into a pulse-pounding, safety-first experience. This part-time, onsite role is built for an instructor who can drive energy, coach with clarity, and keep members moving with confidence.

You’ll:

• Deliver Les Mills BODYCOMBAT® classes that are fun, effective, and focused on Safety
• Cue technique with strong communication and motivational skills, offering smart modifications for every level
• Build connection in the room through upbeat coaching and consistent encouragement
• Set up, inspect, and maintain fitness equipment and the studio space before and after class
• Teach Mondays and Wednesdays, 7:00-8:00 PM, with flexible availability for weekday evenings, weekends, and substitute classes

You bring:

• Current Les Mills BODYCOMBAT® certification
• Valid CPR PRO/AED/First Aid certification
• 1-2 years of group fitness instruction experience
• Knowledge of current wellness trends and safe exercise modifications

Prime-Time Pulse

You step into the studio early to set the stage-sound checks, mats and gear lined up, and a quick scan to keep everything Safety-ready for a Les Mills Instructor night. As people filter in, you’ll catch up with regulars, welcome newcomers, and feel that after-work energy start to crackle.

When 7:00 PM hits, the room flips into full BODYCOMBAT® mode. The tracks fly by, the vibe stays electric, and you guide the group through a hard-earned finish that feels like a win. After cooldown, there’s a fast round of high-fives, form questions, and “see you Wednesday” chatter-then you wipe down, straighten up, and leave the space spotless for the next class.

Now and then, you’ll be asked to cover a substitute slot and bring the same thrill to a different crew.
